Welcome to
Cesar Chavez Academy.
In November of 2000, Cesar Chavez Academy
Public Charter School was founded by Lawrence and Annette Hernandez,
Gloria Guerrero, Eddie Montour, and Camille Calderon. The Academy was
started with the hope and belief that every child has the capacity to
attain high levels of academic achievement while being excited about
education and the prospects for their future.
The promise of Cesar Chavez Academy has been fulfilled through the extraordinary
commitment of parents, staff, students, and the community. The hard
work and exemplary effort put forth by the CCA community is exemplified
by the school's receipt of the James Irwin Award, the high number
of students scoring advanced and proficient on the annual CSAP
exams and the reciept of the El Pomar Foundation award for excellence
in education for 2006 (View
El Pomar Excellence Award Winners) . With the promise of
bright futures and the support of the CCA community; the students of
the Academy will continue to grow and become the scholars, leaders,
and world citizens of tomorrow.
